Do the purple lines appear
to be bent? What's going on here????
Which vertical line is longer? The one on the
left, or the one on the right??? They are the exact same size! Kind of
hard to believe isn't it? If you still aren't sure about it, go and get
yourself a ruler and measure it!
You might remember an illusion similar to this one in collection two! This
one is just the opposite, but the same principles apply! When
you first look at this illusion, does there appear to be fuzz where the black
lines intersect? There is nothing there! Now, I want you to get two sheets
of paper. Then I want you to cover the entire grid except for four black
boxes, and one intersection (helps if you do this in a corner of the grid).
Now, where did the fuzz go?
